My birthday is 31st October. No, it’s not about horror – that’s an American import – it’s a time to honour the ancestors, maybe to find out who they are even. Most of us are descended from a great African Mother whose adventurous children went out into planet Earth – and here we are! Say a thank you to them. Light a candle to them. Make a little offering.
Many are acquainted with the Celtic New Year beginning on the 31st. There are so many new year days. Mine begins directly after the Winter Solstice. But your personal new year begins on your birthday. If you are interested in the number mysteries of the great Pythagoras and it’s your birthday on October 31st this year, listen up: 31 + 10 + 2021. Add those numbers together and you get 10 = 1. A One year so it’s a time of new beginnings for all of us born on 31st October this year. Not a time for horror, maybe tricks and treats.
